Event Schedule

To help you with your planning find out what’s on when at the London Olympic Games.

Important Information for New Zealand Residents

Tickets purchased through Harvey World Travel, United Travel or Cartan Global are for New Zealand residents only. If you are a New Zealander, but reside outside of New Zealand and wish to obtain event tickets for London 2012, please visit the local ticket agent as listed on http://www.tickets.london2012.com

Limited Supply

Olympic Tickets are limited. In particular, tickets to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Aquatics, certain athletics finals and Track Cycling are in very short supply. Harvey World Travel and United Travel may not be able to provide you with your first choice in event tickets. It is therefore important that you nominate your second preference for event tickets in case your first choice is not available. While Kiwi fans may not always get their first choice of tickets, we’ll work hard to ensure each proud New Zealander has a wonderful Olympic experience at London 2012.

What we recommend:

  • Apply for a higher category ticket (A, B or C)
  • Purchase an Olympic Travel Package that contains confirmed tickets
  • Consider alternatives to the limited supply events as listed above
  • Remember family tickets if you are an athlete’s parent

How ticket allocations will work:

All ticket requests received in the Phase 3 application process will be prioritized by month received and each month’s requests will be weighted equally as a group in the ticket selection process.

Example: Ticket requests received in January will have a priority over requests received in March and so forth. When Cartan confirms event tickets, these ticket requests will be processed by month received, using a random, computerized selection process. Clients will receive confirmation of the tickets we were able to confirm for them within 15 days of the allocation.

The random computerized process will only be used on tickets that we have more requests for than available tickets.

Family Tickets

The organisers of the London Olympic Games have created Family Tickets to ensure athletes have the support they need during competition. TWO tickets for per event/phase of competition (only one per swimming event and selected athletics events) have been reserved for each athlete.

Athletes will be asked to nominate their ‘family ticket recipient/s’ and tickets will be held at the Cartan Ticket Office, Novotel Hotel, Southwark Bridge Road, London, for collection. If you are a nominated family member (ie. nominated as ‘family ticket recipient’ by the competing athlete) please do not include these family tickets in your general ticket order.
