There are so many moments when I can remember being proud to be a Kiwi, our constant over achieving on the World stage gives us so many opportunities to celebrate our successes. Over the past few years I have done a bit of traveling with the Black Sticks Mens side and a moment that really made me proud to be a New Zealander was after our recent European tour I got a bit of time off and decided to head to our family house in Queenstown, it was my first time there in a few years and I was just blown away by how amazing the scenery was, right in our own backyard. Whenever asked where I'm from whilst abroad its always a pretty sweet moment calling NZ my home and having such idyllic locations makes it easy to be a proud Kiwi. Hugo Inglis |
I was most proud to be a New Zealander when a team of volunteers went to Japan to help with the Tohoku EQ when my home City of Christchurch was in recent devastation from the Feb 22 EQ. Love the fact that we can think of others even in the midst of crisis! Jacqui Harmon |

I will never forget when I was doing my OE and arrived in Dublin on the eve of the All Black’s playing Ireland (unbeknown to me – this was not in the days of social networking!!) hearing all those Kiwi voices, we were able to get tickets to the match unbelievably – well they started the National Anthem we all stood proud sang out loud and clear, there was not a dry eye amongst us and then the Haka – unbelievable, and so proud was then and still today. The anthem and Haka still do the same to me today as it did then – go the Kiwi’s. Debbie Natoli |
